Loria Stern is the founder and creative director of Eat Your Flowers, a botanical food company known for transforming edible flowers, herbs, and seasonal ingredients into beautiful works of edible art. Tell us a bit about yourself, your story, and what drives your work and creative world.
I’m the founder and creative director of Eat Your Flowers, a botanical food company inspired by the beauty of the natural world.
For nearly a decade, I’ve been creating edible art using flowers, transforming petals, herbs, fruits, and botanicals into cookies, cakes, confections, and all kinds of recipes that celebrate the seasons. I grow and preserve many of my own edible flowers: drying them for sprinkles, pressing them for decorating, and harvesting them fresh for the signature flower cookies for which I’m known.
My work is deeply inspired by nature. I spend countless hours in the garden and find inspiration everywhere, from wildflower meadows and farmers markets to antique botanical illustrations and the changing colors of the landscape throughout the year.
What drives me most is creating moments of wonder. In a fast-paced world, I love making things that encourage people to slow down, notice beauty, and reconnect with nature.
Whether it’s a pressed-flower cookie, a floral dessert, or a simple garden harvest, I believe beauty has the power to bring people together and create meaningful memories.
At its heart, my creative world is about celebrating craftsmanship, seasonality, and the extraordinary beauty that exists in everyday life.

We started Difinery with the idea of a “blank canvas community”. Surrounding ourselves with people who continue to value craftsmanship, beauty, sustainability, and the planet, even when the world makes that increasingly difficult. What does that idea mean to you?
That philosophy resonates deeply with me because it is the foundation of everything I create.
To me, a blank canvas represents possibility. It’s an invitation to create something thoughtful rather than something disposable. In my own work, I try to approach every project with curiosity and care, asking how I can create something beautiful while remaining connected to nature and respectful of the resources that make it possible.
I think craftsmanship matters now more than ever. We live in a world that often prioritizes speed, convenience, and mass production, but there is something incredibly meaningful about slowing down and making something by hand.
Whether it’s growing flowers, baking cookies, designing jewelry, or creating art, the intention behind the process is something people can feel.
I also believe beauty and sustainability belong together. Nature is my greatest teacher, and working so closely with flowers has taught me to pay attention to seasons, cycles, and the importance of caring for the earth.
Building a community around those shared values feels hopeful and inspiring.
What drew you to the Eternity Band, and what does wearing jewelry while you create mean to you?
I was immediately drawn to the Eternity Band because of its timeless simplicity. My work is often filled with vibrant flowers, colors, textures, and natural abundance, so I love the quiet elegance of the design. It feels refined, classic, and enduring.
As someone who works with my hands every day, I’m drawn to objects that are thoughtfully crafted and made to last. The band feels like a small piece of artistry that I carry with me throughout each day.
I also love the symbolism of an eternity band. Creativity is never really finished—there is always another season, another bloom, and another idea waiting to emerge. The continuous circle feels like a beautiful reminder of that ongoing creative process.
I wear jewelry in the same way I approach flowers: as a celebration of beauty in everyday life.
Whether I’m harvesting cosmos from the garden, pressing petals onto cookies, or developing a new recipe, I love having small, meaningful objects that connect me to craftsmanship, creativity, and the things I value most.
